Its interesting to watch the shift from year to year of what retailers constitute as a sale worthy of the biggest and busiest shopping season of the year. This year it appears that any sale at all is the name of the game for more of the small to mid-size companies, while some giants like Saks and Matches are running their usual deep discounts. Personally, this is my favorite time of year to shop as I always wait to stock up on favorite supplements and basics, and love to take this opportunity to try new products, buy that one dress I’ve been pining for all year, or snatch up items that truly never go on sale like my favorite non-toxic activewear. This is the week where I open up my little notepad of gift ideas that I’ve been compiling since summer, and knock out all of my Christmas shopping at discounted prices. One of my favorite decor pieces from Pottery Barn is this basket, of which I accumulated during my tenure as an employee six in different shapes and heights – so, I can honestly say it’s a good one! From Williams-Sonoma, my favorite item is this amazing cashmere throw. Budget-friendly and washable, for the year and a half I’ve had my throw it’s been the most fought over blanket in the house! The cashmere throw is on sale in a few colorways and makes an amazing gift, as well as preparedness item.
Fellow dainty jewelry lovers unite over this sale! My most worn daily jewelry pieces are all from Monica Vinader, as they are so easy to pair with anything, made of genuine precious metals, and look fantastic! This is the jewelry I travel with, and will also be buying for my daughters when the occasion arises.
While other women are busy selling out the “nap dress” selection, I’m shopping bedding and towels. I’m a big fan of the “trellis” print duvet covers!
