The Heart Edit

With Valentine’s day less than a month away, heart-shaped everything is fully saturating the retail market – and I’m not complaining! I’ve never cared about Valentine’s day, never celebrated, never even gave much notice to the day except maybe at most to get a gift out of my hubby, hehe. This year, however, I’m in need of a holiday. Desperately desiring to decorate, celebrate, and feast on a fancy dinner more than usual. So we will do just that. This year I will be doing a Valentine’s day tablescape after learning how amazed my little one is by a fully dressed table. Needless to say, this is as much for my girls as it is for me, and I do look forward to sharing photos, decor, and the menu with you, too!

In the meantime, I’m taking advantage of my favorite color – pink – being out en masse right now, and fighting the winter blues with a bit of retail therapy, so I thought I’d make a little edit of what it is I’m eyeing and buying. As a recovering minimalist, January sales are the perfect time to replace all of the things I sold incorrectly thinking I had “too much” only to later find out I actually needed those items. It’s also the perfect time to do a little pre-planning for spring and summer!

Ok, so I’m starting off this heart edit with something that doesn’t have any hearts on it – but I definitely have heart-eyes for it so I had to share! I have wanted the black velvet midi version of this dress for Christmas for years and now they come out with this – oh my, I’m in love! It’s currently on sale but be quick.

I kind of have a think for pima pjs, and these pink & red heart pajamas just happen to be the cutest! I love the different tones of pink and red, and that they come in a mommy & me matching style for girls, and baby girls, too!

If the mood to browse the most cheerful, bright home décor website ever strikes you, head over to this Oklahoma-based brand‘s site and have some fun! I love her seasonal collections, and this time of year it’s all about the hearts!

While you’re there check out all of the adorable gift options like this little heart trinket dish!

I bought my first shirt from this designer just before Christmas last year, and I am hooked! They re-release this blouse in different colors and prints almost monthly, so it’s never boring shopping their collections. I love this pink heart print on this timeless, ultra-feminine silhouette. Everything this brand does is golden, IMO!

I have been waiting for this little rattan heart photo frame to go on sale for forever because it’s a bit of a splurge for what it is, if we’re honest. It’s unique items like this tucked into greater schemes that make an interior really shine though!

Just this week I bought my first robe from this brand, and I can tell you now it won’t be my last! I ordered a blue short sleeved style, and love how brilliant the idea of a short sleeve robe is! (I have never heard of this before?!) It is the most plush, cozy, beautiful printed robe, and I’m excited for their next sale so I can get my hands on a few more – hopefully this heart print one!

Bringing a bit of summer texture to brighten winter with this straw minaudiere with embroidered hearts. J’adore this sweet piece, and as a collector of this designer’s handbags I can attest to and highly recommend them for their quality, functionality, and design!

For a casual Valentine’s day outfit, give this sweater a try or her more elaborate fairisle sister if you’re really looking to get into the festive spirit! In my opinion, hearts are a year-round print that never go out of style!

If you are a lover of dainty jewelry, or are looking to add a few refined pieces to your jewel box I highly recommend huggie hoops like these cute mother of pearl hearts. These are made in the USA and are easy on the wallet. Cute but never in the way, and lighter than air.

xo, Mia
