Gift Ideas for Her | 2021

For ladies with a refined sense of style and a bit of grandmillennial flair.

I thought shopping gift guides was gone with the previous decade but after asking readers in an Instagram poll how they felt about gift guides, I was proved completely and utterly wrong! Gift guides are not dead, and in fact, they’re booming! Votes were also in favor of smaller edited gift guides – which happen to be my specialty – so that’s the direction I’ve gladly taken for my 2021 gift guides. In this first of five posts in my gift guide series I’m covering everything you’ll need to make her burst into the biggest smile possible when she unwraps your gift on Christmas. Here you’ll find gift ideas for the fashionable lady, the practical lady, the amateur interior decorator, the girl on the go, and every lady who loves beautiful things.

A wool cardigan – with some grandmillennial flair! For the frugal fashionista who knows a good deal when she sees it; and I’m talkin about the long-term, cost per wear, resale value, and all the geeky financial stuff that us serious shoppers consider. This is your gift for her! Made entirely of extra fine merino wool this practical and pretty cardigan will be abundantly warm in addition to all of the wonderful benefits of wool, such as naturally anti-bacterial, and holding up for generations to come. The beautiful knit and neutral shade are highly versatile, and if she ever grows tired of the elegant collar (big IF) it’s removable! This was the sweater of fall 2021, so you’ll want to snap this one up pretty quickly before it sells out at any more shops.

Monogrammed notepad. If you work from home or just spend a lot of time at your desk thanks to your beloved fashion blogging hobby, pretty office supplies are a must. This small business makes so many beautiful stationary items but this notepad, and the optional acrylic tray, are currently on my Christmas wish list! The green and blue scalloped floral design at the bottom is just the right amount of detailing to brighten up your day each time you look at it.

Basket trio with scalloped liner. You guys, I have lost track of how many of my posts contain at least some mention of these gorgeous baskets. I bought mine a year ago and they are still my absolute favorite decorative item in my home. If you aren’t a basket fanatic yet (because you either are or you aren’t, there’s no in between) put these on your Christmas wish list and watch how much the natural material and sweet scallop detail warm up your space!

“Beautiful” coffee table book. Hands down one of the best inexpensive and versatile home decor items is the humble coffee table book. Sometimes it’s a coaster, sometimes it’s an elevation for a vase or bowl; sometimes it’s just there to fill space and add color but at all times it’s a dose of design inspiration inside and out. I loved flipping through two of my coffee table books (here and here) during my mom’s last visit, laughing at some things, horrified by others, and thoroughly inspired to try something new in our own homes afterward.

Bow heels. Does she seriously not have a pair of these glorious bow heels yet?! I covered everything you need to know about these amazing shoes in this post and I still stand by every word of praise spoken about them. This platinum color is newer as of this fall and I prefer it to the gold – much more of a neutral and will match everything. Truly the most comfortable, beautiful statement shoes I’ve ever worn!

Jewelry case (from France). I absolutely adore this brand – j’adore it – and love that they are now a certified B corp. A lady can never have too many jewelry cases, and depending on the occasion, she probably needs a few different sizes. Here, you’ll find the prettiest colors and prints in multiple sizes, and maybe a few sparklers for her to fill this cute jewelry case with!

LAKE pajamas. Another Mia at the Moment mainstay has made it onto this gift guide – Lake pajamas! Again, if you don’t have a pair of PJs from Lake what are you waiting for? Pima cotton is the only material I can sleep comfortably in anymore (spoiled thanks to this brand) and now I’m working on filling the rest of my family’s pajama drawers with Lake as well. My mother in law saw my youngest wearing her hydrangea set and was swooning over the color, the soft handfeel, and asking if she can buy more for her… the answer is always yes.

Aerin photo frame. Whether she’s a collector of memories, a gallery wall enthusiast, or you have brilliantly managed to snap a cherished moment and need to gift it already in it’s frame, an elegant photo frame is always appreciated! This wavy gold frame by Aerin is heirloom quality and minimal enough to fit in beautifully with other frames, and unique enough to stand out in the most stunning way.

Cane wrapped vase. Bring a piece of the Bahamas (or Charleston, SC) into her home with this versatile cane wrapped vase from famed designer, Amanda Lindroth. I use my smaller version as a flower vase, and a candle holder (obviously not simultaneously) and it love the natural aesthetic it brings to whatever setting I add it to. Consider gifting a high-quality beeswax candle with it for a ready-made atmosphere booster. Equal parts elegant, and chic-casual, this large vase can do it all!

Watch this space for my luxury gift guide, men’s gifts, and a gift guides for the young ladies in your life!
