Everything you’ll need to pull together the cutest, patriotic outfit, and party this 4th of July.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I never miss an opportunity to dress up. Your outfit says a lot about your opinion of the occasion, which is why for church, I’m always dressed in my ‘Sunday best.’ Even though we were in lock-down for Easter and Mother’s Day this year, we all still dressed up! It’s a subtle, silent show of reverence and appreciation. Not to mention, it’s so much fun planning, shopping, and putting together a special outfit for a special day! Holidays are no exception – I love donning red, white and blue in some form for the 4th of July. I extend this same mentality to my home decor, where each season my interior gets a subtle seasonal makeover, and for summer that usually means a touch of patriotic color – maybe even a flag or two!
Don’t be like me in past years, and wait until the week of the 4th of July to finally decide on your outfit (generally, everything red, white or blue is completely sold out by then)! I know we’re cutting it close, but use this guide to get the cutest outfit – not just what’s left – before everyone’s favorite patriotic summer holiday arrives. Whatever your plans are for celebrating 4th of July, be sure to remember that the day is all about celebrating our nation’s freedom from oppression; something that should never be taken for granted, or given up (in any small amount)!
