We’re less than a week away from Halloween yet we’re still getting some warm days. It’s like, I’m ready to dress festive in my favorite plaids and knee boots, but I also don’t want to burn up, ya know? When it’s not quite cold enough for a coat or fall jacket, a scarf is the perfect happy medium.

In this gorgeous Scottish wool Black Watch plaid scarf I’m perfectly warm and as the day goes on and gets warmer, all I need to do is remove it to keep comfortable. I love this bell sleeve top with it too, and this is one of those wear-all-year pieces that has taken me from pre-fall in August to now. It’s sleek and simple yet has just the right amount of drama with these billowy bell sleeves.

Bell sleeve top fit notes:
– Runs very short. I’m wearing an XS but will try the small next time.
– Three-quarter sleeves including bell, the rest of the sleeve ends just before the elbow.
– Fabric has very little stretch. Put on before doing makeup!
Honest review of this top, it’s adorable and love the bell sleeves but if you have a longer torso, or are very tall, you may give this one a pass simply because of how disproportionately short it is. I’m wearing my highest high-rise jeans here (I think they’re 10.25″) and this top still would not stay tucked in.
One sure bet however, is that every lady needs a classic top handle bag; how cute is this mini Valextra dupe?! I’ve been searching for a smaller black handbag for a few months and knew this was the one as soon as I saw it.

Though we’re still having some warm afternoons, it’s pretty much a guarantee that as of Halloween day, that will be completely past. I’m going to make the most of every cold day because who knows what the future holds! (If that sounded cryptic, it’s supposed to. 😉 Stay tuned!)
xo, Mia
