Blue Floral Maxi Dress

Wow, I feel like I blinked and its May?! I just love this time of year. The promise of a great year still holds strong and no matter how the first four months went, there’s still ample opportunity to make the rest of it amazing! We’ve been so blessed with a proper spring this year and this perfect weather might just make spring my new favorite season! What’s not to love? Summer on the horizon, blossoms in bloom, vibrant green slowly filling in each and every open space, and of course, floral print dresses!

You guys know I love a good floral print dress! Dresses in general are my life – see my all time favorite here!

This fabulous blue and white floral maxi is a Nordstrom find by the brand WAYF. It also comes in a stunning light pink floral print!

My favorite things about it: feminine flounce hem; hi-low skirt (perfect for petites!); slightly puffed sleeves; the fit; the gorgeous movement of the skirt; how elegant I feel in it!

What’s not so great about it: it’s about a foot too long and I don’t think it can be altered, I rolled the skirt up under the belt to get the right length; even with the lining it’s a little sheer; desperately needs a modesty snap at the v-neck (I’m using fashion tape until I can work up the courage to put a needle through this delicate fabric)!

Gorgeous flounce hem that extends to the waist!

Overall, the print has me smitten and was indeed, enough in itself for me to overlook the what’s not so great’s about it! It is a true wrap (meaning it goes on and off like a bathrobe), so I plan on using it as a beach cover-up as well!

Now, these sunglasses!! They are the most fun thing you’ll ever wear and this is one trend I am HERE FOR!! I wear them with everything from jeans and a T to gorgeous fancy ensembles like this one – cute, right?! I bought a four-pack and the quality is surprisingly solid for the price I paid for the set! They each came individually wrapped (thoroughly wrapped!) and all have their own protective pouch. Definitely an inexpensive way to make every outfit on-trend.

When you can’t stop twirling…
