Happy first day of March! *looks out window to gray, drizzly, freezing day*
I expected at least a little sun on our first day of spring-month but alas, it seems as though I’ll have to make my own for now.
And that’s just what I plan to do in this cheery, lemon-yellow sweater! I don’t have much yellow in my wardrobe, as there are very few hues of the color that look nice with my light, red under-toned skin. However, this lovely knit is just the right color to give me a bit of an instant tan and brighten up an otherwise very bleak day – I can almost smell the cherry blossoms in bloom!
I love the lace detail and the low-v back was just low enough to add a bit of excitement to a plain jeans outfit but not so low that it defeats the purpose of wearing a sweater.

Today, I’m wearing this sweater transitional-style with a darker wash denim than what’s pictured and my favorite brown leather booties. But as soon as it gets warm enough, I’ll be swapping heavy socks and boots for these gorgeous embellished sandals. I purchased these on major sale during Black Friday to replace a similar pair that I wore into the ground, plus they’re on sale again right now! The temptation to buy a few more colors is strong. 😓
A simple sweater such as this with a tiny bit of unique detailing is perfect for building lots of different outfits for the seasons to come. Wear with distressed denim shorts for cool summer nights on the beach, roasting marshmallows over a fire while listening to the ocean crash against the rocks and shore(flashback to my life in SoCal); pair with a midi-circle skirt for spring-time Saturday morning brunch, or with jeans for just lounging around the house while its cold and drizzly outside…like today.
